Core Focus
To ensure that our resources are invested wisely and achieve the greatest good, the Puget Sound Energy Foundation is focused on four sectors:
- Human Services
- Environmental Stewardship
- Education (Workforce Development)
- Arts and Culture
These four pillars form the basis of the Foundation's grant making. From year to year, the Foundation will designate priority sectors and funding initiatives to ensure that the Foundation is responsive to emerging needs and trends.
2008 Priority Funding Initiatives
In 2008, the Puget Sound Energy Foundation will focus on the Human Services, Environmental, Education as well as Arts and Culture. As the Foundation begins our second year of grant making, priority consideration will be given to those programs that:
- Respond to the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors
- Encourage energy conservation and environmental stewardship
- Promote workforce development at universities and community and technical colleges
